Can you mix fresh and frozen breast milk? | 10 tips for using frozen breastmilk

“In a word, yes. Yes you can,” says our lactation consultant, Jani Combrink. But there are certain rules that need to be followed when handling frozen breast milk including time limits of when it can be used and safe ways to thaw it.

A tip for working moms…

Keep your pumping flanges in a sealed plastic bag in the fridge or cooler bag.  You do not need to wash and sterilise after each pumping session – wash it when you get home, sterilise, and use a new bag for each day.  This will cut down on time spent pumping, which will make it more sustainable.
