3 ways to help prevent stretch marks

Stretch marks — the unfortunate consequence of becoming a mother. Some women claim that stretch marks are their tiger stripes, earned by surviving nine months of pregnancy and childbirth to become a mother. Some women aren’t so proud.

Either way, most health care professionals claim that stretch marks cannot be prevented and that genes are supposedly to blame for them. However, there are a few things that have been shown to prevent stretch marks or at least minimise their appearance.

But what if…?

What if you do all of these things and still get some stretch marks? Just know that they will fade over time. They might be very noticeable now, but in a few years they won’t be at all. Your husband will still love you, you get to be a mother, and the world will not end. Stretch marks are not the worst thing that could happen….even if they make you feel self-conscious.
