How to travel with twins

Having twins is a wonderful blessing! You are getting twice the joy but at the same time it can be doubly tiring. As parents of a wonderful baby twosome, you may be feeling a little burnt out and in need of a holiday. Is the thought of travel with twins putting you off?

It’s possible to travel with your two babies and have an amazing holiday, despite what you might think! With plenty of careful planning and being practical about your holiday options, you’ll be enjoying the beaches, sight-seeing and fascinations of a new place in no time!

Here are our tips for planning that first holiday with twins.

  • Traveling with a baby is never easy as you must bring all your baby essentials with you. That means baby clothing, diapers, blankets, burp clothes, milk bottles and formula, a portable crib, the stroller… and the list goes on. When you travel with twins, then this list becomes twice as long!

  • If you are hoping to travel overseas, go for somewhere close by at first so you can take a short flight. In Singapore, we are blessed to be close to many idyllic resorts such as Bali, Phuket, Langkawi and Bintan so there is lots of choice and you won’t feel like you are missing out.
  • Always check your flight status before starting out to the airport.
  • Opt for a relaxing and tranquil holiday rather than lots of sight-seeing and group tours. It’s much easier for you and your partner to travel with twins. You can still visit tourist places but do it at your own pace so that you are not guided by the schedule of a tour, which might conflict with the needs of your babies.
