How to sleep better during the 3rd trimester

Growing a life inside you is your own little miracle but it is definitely a challenge, physically and emotionally. It is common to feel sleep deprived during pregnancy and the third trimester is the trickiest. Your belly is much bigger now, making mastering those pregnant sleep positions more difficult.

A study, published by the Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2011, found that sleep deprived pregnant women may have a harder labour. So, how can you make sure you get the rest you need at night? We look at some tips and tricks, as well as the best pregnant sleep positions, to help you get more sleep during that last stage of your pregnancy.

8. Still can't sleep?

Some nights, everything you try won't work. You just won't be able to sleep. If this happens, then do something to take your mind off it for a short while. Read a book or write in your pregnancy journal for half-an-hour and then, if you haven't already nodded off, try again.
