Snake Year baby: Improve his luck and future

In this series, Master Goh Guan Leong of Way OnNet Group gives parents feng shui advice on pregnancy and babies. In today’s article, he gives us some tips on how you can guide your Snake Year baby.

What is Chinese zodiac?

The Chinese zodiac, also known as Sheng Xiao [生肖], is based on a 12-year cycle. Each year in the cycle is represented by an animal sign, namely Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog and Pig.

It is believed that the Chinese Zodiac is derived from an individual’s birth year reflects his/her personality in the same manner as the horoscope sign adopted in western astrology. Therefore, knowing the characteristics of the Chinese Zodiac signs can allow us to better understand the personality of our little ones. Also, we can help them to capitalise on their strengths and tackle their weaknesses.

Snake year baby: Personality

Generally speaking, your Snake baby is smart, flexible and gracious. He smiles a lot and possesses great wisdom. He is also very observant, conscious of his surroundings and would usually think twice before taking any action. Outwardly, he can be very cool and calm. However, once his target or goal is identified, he makes quick decisions. Without doubt, your baby is friendly and will grow up to be an eloquent person. But he might not speak as much compared to other babies in the first few years of life. It would be tremendously helpful if you could communicate with your child frequently so that he can learn to express himself better.

Snake year baby: Studies

In terms of the Five Elements (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water), the Snake is represented by Fire, which always burns and shines brightly. This implies that the Snake baby is a bright and fast learner. He is energetic and likes to move around. You can easily spot him because he stands out from the crowd and is often the centre of attention. Believe it or not, those who were born in the year of the Snake, Horse and Goat are more likely to get addicted to computer games, as compared to other Chinese Zodiac signs. Hence, it would be wise to keep technological gadgets such as the iPad from your Snake year baby in the early years.

Focus and concentration are what you need to instill in your cute little baby. Outdoor activities and regular exercises are good ways of exhausting his excessive energy while nurturing a healthy mind and body.
