Steamed tofu with egg and minced chicken

This recipe is tasty, nutritious and quick to prepare, taking only 20 minutes tops. Eggs and tofu are rich in protein, which is necessary if you want to boost your breastmilk supply, while minced chicken promotes blood circulation. We reckon this should be every mummy’s recipe of choice to increase breastmilk.

Recipe adapted from Successful Breastfeeding: A Practical Guide, by Kang Phaik Gaik

1 block of soft tofu
1 egg
200g minced chicken, defrosted
salt or soya sauce (optional)

1. Mash tofu into fine pieces.
2. Beat the egg.
3. Combine mashed tofu, beaten egg and minced chicken in a microwaveable bowl
4. Add soya sauce or salt for taste.
5. Steam for 10 to 15 minutes, or microwave for 10 minutes. Serve while hot.
